ISTANBUL – Police in Turkey seized more than a kilogram (pound) of cocaine from the baggage of a Chilean national at Ataturk Airport in Istanbul late last month, according to police.

In a statement issued on Monday, the Turkish police said the passenger was travelling from Brazil’s Sao Paulo when he was nabbed with 1,571 grams (3.46 pounds) of cocaine hidden inside whisky bottles at the Istanbul airport.
