SANTIAGO – In July 2018, according to the National Statistics Institute (INE), the Trade Activity Index (IAC) in Chile at constant prices grew 3.2% in twelve months, accumulating 6.4% so far this year.
The result was influenced by the increase observed in two of the three divisions that make up this index. Division 46 was the most affected (2,309 percentage points), registering a year-on-year increase of 5.2%.

The Activity Index of Retail Trade (IACM) at constant prices showed a slight year-on-year increase of 0.1%, accumulating 3.8% in July. The seasonally adjusted and corrected calendar effect series registered a monthly reduction of 2.9% and a year-on-year increase of 0.8%.

Meanwhile, the Supermarket Sales Index (ISUP) increased 0.6% at constant prices year-on-year.

The seasonally adjusted and corrected calendar effect series registered a decrease of 1.8% with respect to the previous month and a year-on-year growth of 0.7%.
