RIO DE JANEIRO – Brazil will play international friendlies against Saudi Arabia and Argentina in October, according to the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF).
Both matches will be staged in Saudi Arabia and will not feature players whose clubs have qualified for the Copa do Brasil final, to be held over two legs on October 10 and 17, the CBF said in a statement.
The clash against Saudi Arabia will be played at King Saud University in Riyadh on October 12 and will be followed by a duel with the Albiceleste at the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah four days later.
The announcement came just hours before Brazil were due to play the United States in a friendly at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium.
It will be followed by a clash against El Salvador in Washington on Tuesday.
