MOSCOW – Russia’s President Vladimir Putin will meet Venezuela’s President Nicolas Maduro on Oct. 4 (Wednesday), at the Russian Energy Week forum, according to the Kremlin’s press office on Tuesday.
Putin will take part in a plenary session at the forum, which is running from Oct. 3 to 7.
The Kremlin noted that Maduro is paying an official visit to Moscow in which his visit to the forum is included.

“During the meeting, a discussion is planned for the development of the strategic partnership of the two countries in various fields. An exchange of views on the current international and regional problems will be held,” the Kremlin said.
The agenda of the forum is ‘energy for global growth’. The topics up for discussion range from the global energy agenda, the main directions that the fuel and energy sector are taking, the existing challenges in the energy sector, and Russian prospects in the oil and gas sector.
Within the official program of the forum, about 50 business events will take place.
