SANTIAGO – Australis Cruise Lines, known for its expedition cruises in remote and exotic southern Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego, has been recognised by the readers of Travel + Leisure magazine as one of the top three award winners in the Small Ship Ocean Cruise Category.
This is the second year in a row that Australis has been featured as a winner in the World’s Best Awards, voted on by the readers of the magazine.
This is a special achievement and credit to all the members of Australis, especially the entire crew and the expedition leaders on board who will soon be able to share their passion for the flora and fauna, penguins, glaciers, and the magic that surrounds Cape horn with more explorers from around the world aboard the Ventus Australis, the upcoming new ship in the Australis fleet, as a sister ship of the awarded Stella Australis, which begins its itineraries on January 2, 2018.
Readers rated individual cruise ships on their cabins and facilities, food, service, itineraries and destinations, excursions and activities, and value. Those assessments were combined to generate results for the cruise line in five categories, small-ship ocean cruise lines have vessels that can carry up to 249 passengers.
Pedro del Rio, CEO of Australis said: “We are pleased and proud to receive this recognition from the readers of such a highly regarded publication. It is an incentive to us to continue to provide the unique expeditions and exploration experiences in the Chilean-Argentinean southern Patagonia that no other cruise line can offer. We take special care in protecting the unique and pristine environment, all in a warm and comfortable ambiance, where our guests may enjoy the all-inclusive, on-board service.”
