The Investigative Police (PDI) report that a 52-year-old woman residing in the Puente Alto community was attacked by her violent partner: a 51-year-old man with whom she maintained a relationship for 30 years.
According to police records, the woman was found dead inside her home during the early hours of the morning by her mother, who alerted the authorities.
Neighbours said that before the murder, the woman was involved in a fierce argument with her partner; she had already been the victim of various attacks beforehand. Repeated blows to the head caused the victim’s death, of which her partner has been accused.
“We saw her with her head split open, and he was sitting down. He then disrespected us and took off,” claimed one witness claimed.
The victim’s family arrived at the scene to help her before deciding that they would escort the injured female to her bedroom with the aim that she could rest in her bed. The victim’s mother found her daughter deceased hours later.
Police patrols and officials from the Legal Medical Service (SML) eventually established the victim died due to a cranial brain injury.
The suspect escaped from the scene but was later found by PDI officials. The PDI is investigating the motives behind her killing.
