MONTEVIDEO – A statue of Barcelona forward Luis Suarez was brought down in his home country Uruguay while the star footballer was attending Lionel Messi’s wedding in Argentina.
The statue was brought down by a drunk man who was later arrested.

The statue has been taken away to be refurbished.
Suarez flew last week to the Argentine city of Rosario to attend Messi’s wedding with his childhood sweetheart Antonela Roccuzzo.
Among the 260 guests at Friday’s wedding were Messi’s Barcelona teammates Neymar, Gerard Piqué and his wife, Colombia’s pop star Shakira. A number of guests flew into Rosario on private jets.
