LIMA – A video of a Peruvian woman, who made a miraculous escape after being swept into a fast-moving mudslide in the Andean nation of Peru, is making rounds on social media.
The mud-clad victim was almost unidentifiable when the rescuers pulled her out of the disaster.
At least 72 people were killed in several days of floods and mudslides triggered by heavy rains in Peru earlier this year.
The floods – the worst in almost 30 years – affected over half the country in March. A state of emergency was declared in more than 800 towns and cities.
