Chile and U.A.E. sign MoU on entry-visa exemption

ABU DHABI – The Republic of Chile and the United Arab Emirates have signed a memorandum of understanding to exempt Emirati and Chilean nationals carrying ordinary passports from obtaining pre-entry visas while travelling to both countries.

The MoU was signed by Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al-Jarman, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for Legal Affairs, and Jean Paul Tarud-Kuborn, Ambassador of Chile to the U.A.E.

Al-Jarman said that the signing of the MoU would further strengthen cooperation between the U.A.E. and Chile.

During the meeting, both sides discussed several regional and international issues of common interest while exchanging their views on the current regional situation.

The Chilean ambassador expressed Chile’s keenness to strengthen bilateral relations with the Middle Eastern country, which the Chilean government attaches particular importance to, given the distinguished position reached by the U.A.E. in international arenas.
