China’s GDP sees 6.9% growth in first half of 2017

BEIJING – China”s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) has grown about 6.9 percent year-on-year in the first half of this year, about 38.15 trillion yuan ($5.62 trillion USD), according to the National Bureau of Statistics.

The country’s industrial added value production, a key economic indicator, expanded a 6.9 percent year-on-year in the first half of the year, compared to 6.8 percent increase in the first quarter.

The GDP grew 6.9 percent year-on-year in the second quarter, remaining unchanged from the first quarter.
