Las nuevas autoridades de la CECh comunicaron con renovada esperanza el mensaje conclusivo de la 112ª asamblea plenaria de obispos.
La 112ª asamblea plenaria del episcopado chileno se realizó en Punta de Tralca del 7 al 11 de noviembre. En conferencia de prensa al término del encuentro, las nuevas autoridades del trienio de la Conferencia Episcopal dieron a conocer el mensaje conclusivo.
Una misericordia que perdura
En el contexto del periodo de término del Año Santo de la Misericordia, los obispos señalaron en su mensaje que “si bien el jubileo termina, creemos que el tiempo de la Misericordia es un desafío que perdura, y con mucha fuerza queremos insistir en la dimensión evangélica en nuestros planes y proyectos pastorales”.
Mayor participación y responsabilidad ciudadana
En su mensaje, los pastores destacaron la importancia de trabajar por la vida y la dignidad de todos los chilenos. Al respecto señalaron que “hemos visto un creciente malestar que se ha manifestado en movimientos sociales que buscan promover iniciativas, defender derechos y exigir mayores estándares de calidad cívica a los líderes de todos los ámbitos de la nación”.
Manifestaron también su preocupación por el debilitamiento democrático, manifiesto en la altísima abstención de las últimas elecciones municipales. Y reconocieron que “las instituciones del país, políticas, sociales y religiosas, tenemos un papel relevante a la hora de reconocer, acoger y discernir el legítimo malestar que expresan diversos sectores de la sociedad”.
Un diálogo social sano y constructivo
Los obispos afirmaron también que “la gente tiene derecho a pedir cuentas a sus representantes” utilizando las vías apropiadas que otorga el estado de derecho, destacando que es responsabilidad de todos la búsqueda de lo mejor para Chile.
Urgencia por los más vulnerables
Durante esta asamblea plenaria también reflexionaron sobre los avances significativos que han tenido lugar en el parlamento a favor de las algunas de las necesidades de las personas más vulnerables de la sociedad, y expresaron la necesidad de mantener un trabajo mancomunado en bien de las personas. Señalaron también preocupación sobre diversos temas de gran importancia que aún no han sido incluidos dentro de las grandes necesidades del país. “Nos inquieta cómo no se apoya suficientemente desde el Estado y la sociedad civil a los adultos, jóvenes y niños en situación de vulnerabilidad”.
Educación humanizadora e integral
Por último, los pastores expresaron su preocupación sobre la necesidad de una educación integral que humanice cada vez más a las personas, en especial a los niños, niñas y jóvenes. “El Estado y la escuela deben contribuir subsidiariamente al derecho fundamental y primordial de los padres y madres de formar a sus hijos e hijas según sus propios valores, libres de cualquier influencia de ideologías de género, que puedan transformarse en “verdaderas colonizaciones ideológicas” (Papa Francisco)”.
