The solid national squad did not see any problems to win the match’s three sets (25-13, 25-12 and 25-15).
Performance of Leslie Leyva stood out.
“I think we did a good job, and we are already focused on tomorrow’s game. Competition is tough, but we can make it,” she expressed.
Organized by South America’s Volleyball Confederation, the event hosts six countries that play in a round robin all-against-all format thru Sunday.
Peru will face Argentina on Friday.
The Inca team fights for tickets to FIVB Volleyball Women’s U20 World Championship to be held in Boca del Rio and Cordoba (Mexico) on July 7-16 next year.
