John Hanke, CEO of Niantic Labs has made it clear that Pokemon GO will be made available in at least 200 Countries. All of this he hopes, will happen by year’s end or at latest early 2016. Pokemon GO was first released into North America and most of Europe. After some technical issues with servers, Niantic Labs has successfully expanded Pokemon GO into Asia.
The most recent releases of the game have occurred in Japan and as of July 25, in Hong Kong. Other Asian locations such as India, Thailand, and the Philippines are rumored to be next. For Asians, this is a welcome sign as it is only a matter of time. But while Asia is celebrating, South America is fuming. Many, especially Chileans have been flooding Social Media with tweets demanding a Pokemon GO Chile Release Date.
For now, a Pokemon GO Chile Release Date remains elusive. This is the case for many other South American countries, not just Chile. As Hong Kong players begin to scramble outdoors, many Chilean Pokemon fans remain indoors, online, and searching frantically for their own release date. Niantic labs has not made any official statement or hinted at a Pokemon GO Chile release date or anywhere else in South America. As mentioned many times before, Niantic labs is aiming to release the game gradually to avoid overwhelming servers.
This is a move which reflects the prudence of the company. Even a limited release in North America and Western Europe revealed many server issues. What’s more, the game itself still carries a number bugs that need to be addressed.
Pokemon GO outside
An announcement of A Pokemon GO Chile Release Date remains to be seen. But in the meantime, fans of Pokemon GO in South America and other countries that don’t have the game can be confident that Niantic labs is working hard. Niantic labs has learned much from their game releases in America, Europe, and Asia. They know just what exactly a wide spread release will require.
Though the game is delayed, Chile, Brazil, and other South American countries can be confident of a quality release within the year. It won’t be long until Niantic Labs makes good on its promise for over 200 countries. Chile is one of them.
