Concertación coalition seeks to increase bonus to US$200

After the short period of a post-earthquake truce, the center-left Concertación political coalition has launched the first offensive in its new role as the opposition.

Members of the Concertación insist the amount assigned for the “March Bonus” by the new government to be insufficient. Christian Democrat (DC) deputies Gabriel Silber and Pablo Lorenzini have requested that the amount increase from 40,000 to 100,000 pesos (from approx. US$80 to US$200).
