Education and networking will highlight the Nov. 9-10 Produce Marketing Association’s Fruittrade Latin America event in Santiago, Chile.
“The resources at PMA Fruittrade Latin America help attendees build connections to buyers and trends in promising markets to help grow their business in regions around the world,” Chile Country Council Chair Christian Corssen, general manager of Companía Frutera Santa María S.A., said in a news release.
The event is a joint effort by PMA and Fedefruta, Chile’s Fruit Growers Federation, according to the release.
Among the workshops offered, one session will feature speakers discussing how to find business opportunities in China’s second tier cities, according to the release.
Speakers for a global retail session will include:
Sandra Arriaga, Leonardo1452, Mexico;
Hugh Mowat, Wm. Morrisons Supermarkets, London;
Eduardo Galindo, Wal-Mart Global Food Sourcing, Chile; and
Catherine Gao, Qunfeng Fruit Chain Co. Ltd., Shanghai.
Attendees at the show can also participate in international business roundtables, allowing produce buyers and sellers the chance to meet one-on-one to explore new business opportunities.
